Description
AFTERSCHOOL CLUB is for all primary school children aged 5-11. On Fridays, it is a drop-off class from 2pm to 3pm (due to the early closure of a local school, but all are welcome) involving cooking and potentially some washing up and kitchen hygiene (no craft activity). Depending on the recipe, it will likely need to be cooked/baked at home after the class (or the following day if preferred). Specific activities may vary by age, with – for example – older children in KS2 potentially being permitted to use sharp knives and other equipment, whilst younger children will be given cutlery knives or assisted as necessary.
In honour of St Patrick’s Day, our Lucky Shamrock Farls celebrate the luck of the Irish – traditional potato farls mixed with a bit of extra lucky green to look a bit like a shamrock. Use exactly the way you would a potato waffle or baked potato – and they take a fry-up to the next level!
Cost: £12.50 includes all the ingredients, materials, equipment and use of an apron – just bring a large tin or tupperware to take your bakes home (don’t worry if you forget – we always have disposable packaging but try to work as sustainably as possible). Please select ‘trial class’ to pay just £10 if this is your child’s first session.
We can accommodate most allergies (depending on severity) but please contact katie@cookerydoodledoo.com before booking if there are any dietary requirements to discuss.
